Hello, you can call me Mai. I've been playing FP (sometimes quite on-off) for over 12 years now and during those years I've had the tendency to change things every now and then so you might have seen me before, just with a different name/prefix/breeds/who knows. But currently I go by this nickname and all the dogs I've bred carry the prefix hallv. The ones in my own kennel also have Hallavaaran in their full names.
For years my main focus was on kelpies and all four Belgian Shepherds but recently I decided to continue with Tervurens and Groenendaels/Sheepdogs only. Kelpies are still around as well, however they are locked for most of the time since I've been interested in other breeds now.
Even though Belgian Tervurens and Sheepdogs have been my main project for years now I have also started breeding my own lines in some other breeds. Right now one of my most important projects has been 24HH/lala/4stm Clumber Spaniels and after getting my first Clumber Neva in Spring 2024 I have bred six Best of Breed winners and multiple runner-ups. Later I also discovered multiple different terriers and since I tend to have a soft spot for breeds with lower population I'm currently breeding Airedales, Wire Foxies and Kerry Blue Terriers — more or less actively, which is also typical for me. And because I'm not immune to less popular breeds the Diversifier Achievement introduced me to Pulik and Komondorok as well, with those two I'm still starting but I might have to admit they might stay around longer than some other impulse purchases. Sometimes I might try out even more breeds but most of them stay with me for a generation or two only.
Most of my males are available for breeding once they hit level 40. I usually accept all breeding requests so I don't really care about the genetics or how many times your female has been bred. I simply think it's your dog after all so you can choose to do whatever you want.
With males under 100 days the pricing is usually 1,000 per 10 levels, so levels 40-49 are 4,000, 50-59 are 5,000 and so on. Dogs with less than four excellents are always a bit cheaper and I rarely have dogs with less than three excellents available. Exceptions can happen with less popular breeds but even then it's only a few selected males that have otherwise goods genetics and/or stats and are high level.
Males over 100 days are locked and their price is at least 10x higher, so for example a 80-something level male costs 8,000 but once he hits 101 days the price goes to to 80,000. I might also be stricter with my old, high level males and I often set a minimum level requirement for the female as well. Sometimes the price can be around 300,000-450,000 if the male in question is high level, over 105 days and/or phoenix blessed. Males that have less than four excellents can still be under 10,000 if I feel like asking for more wouldn't be fair considering the health results.
I usually unlock all locked dogs right after accepting the request so don't request +100FPD males if you're planning to do the breeding later. If a dog is locked I have probably been busy so just send me a message, preferably with a link OR the name of the dog :)
Females are rarely up for breeding and if they are the price is usually more than 500,000. You can always ask, though! I won't bite and I might even want a puppy for myself if your offer sounds good enough.
I have litters quite often and sometimes I also sell adult dogs. Most adults have been bought for the Diversifier achievement and in many cases they are available in public sale, usually between 2,000-30,000 depending on the breed, genetics and level.
Every now and then there are also 6 day old puppies I have bred myself. These are from litters that did not get sold and since I don't want my breedings to go to waste I always keep the best puppy or two and sell them separately once they have been weaned. Dogs like these are always sold with the prefix hallv and they have not been trained in any sport yet. The price can be anywhere between 10,000 and 60,000, sometimes there might not be a minimum bid at all. However, $0 minimum bid does not mean a free dog so keep that in mind when bidding.
Litters are also sold without minimum bid but bids under the pet home price are ignored most of the time (the only exception being low quality progenitor litters). I usually accept the offers when the litter is 4 or 5 days old and I check the overview and history of every kennel before making my decisions. Since I like to be open I'll say that constantly retiring young dogs (especially those bought from other players) is something I don't really like seeing as there have been times when I have sold a promising dog to another player just to see that it has been retired on the first day. Checking kennels before accepting bids applies to private sales as well and highest bid does not automatically mean you'll get the dog since I want to make sure my work won't get wasted.
