General Information

Welcome to Cherokee Winds Kennels - My Second account!

I've been part of Furry Paws for a very long time. Over the years, I've created artwork, coded kennel pages, and raised and bred some incredible dogs. It was a chapter I truly enjoyed, and it gave me the chance to meet some wonderful people along the way.
These days, I mostly play for fun and relaxation whenever I have the time. I now run my own graphic design business, so my free time is much more limited, but my passion for creating has never faded.
I know my style isn't going to appeal to everyone—and that's perfectly okay. I create art the way I envision it, and I won't apologize for that. I've spent years honing my illustration and graphic design skills through dedication, practice, and experience. At the end of the day, I create because I love it, not because I'm looking for anyone else's approval.
Thank you for stopping by Cherokee Winds Kennels. I hope you enjoy your visit!

Breeding Information

My breeding philosophy is pretty simple.
Back in the day, I was a stickler for only breeding on the "accepted" days—88, 99, 101, and all that. Those days are behind me.
These days, I breed my dogs whenever I feel like it. I don't let other people dictate how I play the game, and I don't think anyone else should either. At the end of the day, it's just that—a game. It's meant to be enjoyed.
If you happen to get one of my pups, awesome! I genuinely hope you enjoy them, have fun raising them, and make some great memories along the way.
I don't have a long list of policies anymore, and I'm not interested in telling others how they should play. Your kennel is yours, just like mine is mine.
My advice? Play the game in the way that brings you the most enjoyment. Don't let anyone make you feel like you're doing it "wrong" because it doesn't meet their personal standards. Games are supposed to be fun—not another source of stress.
So relax, breed when you want, raise the dogs you love, and enjoy the experience. That's what Cherokee Winds Kennels is all about.

Art

As for artwork... I don't think I'll be creating art through this site anymore.
If you'd like to commission something from me, feel free to reach out, but I won't be taking art requests through Furry Paws going forward.
One of the biggest reasons is that I'm no longer interested in debating how I should create my artwork. I'm not interested in being told how to clean my line art, what tools I'm "allowed" to use. Especially when most of the programs used (PaintShop Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Clip Studio Paint, etc... All use AI and have AI built in.)
I've spent years developing my artistic skills, and I'm at a point where I'd rather spend my time creating than arguing over how I create. I'm comfortable with my process, I'm proud of the work I produce, and I'm not going to apologize for the tools I choose to use.
Art should be about creativity and enjoyment, not endless debates over someone else's expectations. That's where I stand, and I'm perfectly okay with that..

Character Refs

Wa Ya has always been my main character. She is the black and gray wolf I designed for myself when I first started on Furry Paws, and she's been my mascot ever since. Over the years, she's evolved alongside me and has remained a special part of my journey.
You'll also find many of the other characters I've created and collected over the years in the link below. Each one has its own story and place in my collection, and I hope you enjoy browsing through them as much as I've enjoyed creating and collecting them.
