Our Management Philosophy & Key Rules Our kennel operates on a clear set of rules designed to promote genetic diversity, maintain robust health, and ensure the active contribution of every dog to the kennel's success: * Limited Breedings (Two-Litter Rule): We strictly adhere to a two-litter maximum for all dams and studs within our kennel. This rule is paramount for preventing the overuse of any single dog, thereby maintaining a broad genetic pool across our lines. It significantly reduces the risk of "popular sire/dam syndrome" and its associated health implications, fostering long-term breed vitality. * No Inbreeding Policy: We maintain a stringent no inbreeding rule, meaning we will never breed closely related dogs, including parents to offspring, or siblings to siblings (full or half). This commitment to outcrossing is vital for maximizing genetic health, vigor, and preventing the concentration of undesirable recessive traits. * Performance-Based Retirement: Every dog bred within the Golden Bloodline kennel is expected to contribute beyond their breeding duties. After a dog has completed its two allowed breedings, we implement a performance-based retirement policy: * If a dog has not earned any money by Level 10, it will be retired to ensure optimal kennel resource allocation. * If a dog has earned money by Level 10 (and has completed its two breedings), it may remain active in the kennel as long as it continues to generate income through competitions or other activities. This ensures our kennel remains vibrant, competitive, and financially sustainable.
