Home in the Smoky Pines Kennel
Smoky Mountain Dreams • 2025
Where the mist rolls through the valleys and the pines stand tall against the sky,
the Smoky Mountains remind me of home. This kennel carries that spirit — a place of belonging, resilience, and quiet strength. Just as the mountains endure through every season, so too do the roots of love and loyalty that dogs bring into our lives.
Cedar is the heart of this kennel. He is my dream breed — a Miniature Australian Shepherd — and came into my life as a gift in
January 2025 after the passing of my maternal grandmother.
It has been a hard year, but Cedar has been my little
Shadow, bringing me strength, laughter, and comfort when I needed it most. His registered names reflect his story:
AKC: Roots Always Come Home
ASDR: Cedar Creek
Cedar is more than just a dog to me — he is a reminder that even in loss, life can bring new beginnings. His goofy smile, his loyal eyes, and his endless energy have carried me through days when I thought I couldn’t keep going. He is the reason this kennel exists, and the reason I believe in the power of dogs to heal and inspire.
Why I Love Dogs:
Dogs have always been more than companions to me — they are family, teachers, and healers. Cedar reminded me that even in the darkest times, joy can be found in the smallest moments: a wagging tail, a playful bark, or the quiet comfort of a shadow that never leaves your side.
As a
dog trainer and
service dog handler, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible bond between humans and dogs. Cedar was even my service dog at one point, and he continues to inspire me every day.
My Goal in Furry Paws:
This kennel was founded in Cedar’s honor.
My goal in this game is to breed and raise top-quality dogs, just as I hope to one day show and sport with them in real life.
I want my kennel to reflect the values I hold close: dedication, resilience, and love. Every dog here carries a story — Cedar’s grounded roots, Lily’s playful bloom, Hazel’s warmth — together weaving a family built on care, connection, and excellence.
This kennel is more than stats and pedigrees; it is about
building a home among the Smoky Pines, where roots run deep and dreams grow strong.
About Me:
I’m 25, female, living in North Carolina, and my pronouns are
she/her. I’m a huge dog lover, a dedicated trainer, and a service dog handler. My passion for dogs extends beyond the game — they are my life, my work, and my joy.
Outside of dogs, I’m also a
simulation and PvP gamer. I love games that blend strategy, creativity, and competition — from building worlds to testing skills against others. Gaming, like dog training, challenges me to think critically, stay resilient, and always keep learning.
I believe in the power of community, in supporting others, and in celebrating the bond between people and their dogs. This kennel is my way of sharing that love, while striving toward my dream of one day stepping into the show ring with dogs who embody both beauty and heart.
Let’s Be Friends:
I’m always looking for
dog-related friends — whether you love training, showing, breeding, or just sharing stories about your pups. Don’t be shy, I don’t bite (well… unless you steal my treats).
