Pohjantähden Kenneli is a newly founded kennel, focusing on breeding and training Finnish Lapphunds, run by honest FLH lovers!

We pride ourselves on our ethical practices, from how we treat our dogs, training, and other animals, to customers and competitions.

We prioritize the health and happiness of the animal, hoping to provide transparency and oppenness in how we operate. Customer service is also important, and we practice open communication and understanding accomodations for all our customers and associates, believing a healthy workplace is key to success and security.

Breeding

Pohjantähden Kenneli specializes in Finnish Lapphunds, the fluffy, classic herding dog from Finland. Recently we have slowly started breeding Karelian Bear Dogs aswell, but the FLH will stay our priority.

We aim to breed our own studs and bitches, but it goes without saying that we do use listed studs from time to time, especially at the start when our own selection of compatible dogs to breed is fairly small.

Alongside breeding litters, we also offer studs for a cheap price: 100$ for the higher quality ones, 10$ for the less genetically blessed ones. Negotiation is welcome, and so is requesting a stud who isn't listed for breeding to be offered privately.

We handpick the best of our pups from the litters, putting only those up for reserving. Note that they will have the prefix of our kennel, PTn, standing for PohjanTähden.

All litters are aptitude tested and gene tested at birth.
