The questionable project

I just like taking on random, chaotic projects and creating unnecessarily complex and intricate lore around them... and this is my second account basically doing just that. On my main, I breed various sighthounds (including an entire museum dedicated to them) and Chinese Cresteds - just 'cause, so when I found out Entlebucher Mountain Dogs were currently the least popular breed on FP, I obviously decided this blank page of an account would be about them.

Why Entlebucher Mountain Dogs?

EMDs are fascinating to me: their art is WEIRD, there's virtually no color variation and, nail in the coffin, Herding seems to be a surprisingly rare breed aptitude even though they're actual herding dogs. Love it.

Something to say about the criminal cheese theme?

Since they're Swiss farm dogs, the whole thing somehow ended up with a cheesemaking theme - which got even more unnecessarily specific because I used to work in dairy processing myself. Males are named after finished dairy products, while females get names related to the making process itself. Is this distinction necessary? Absolutely not. Am I committed to it anyway? Absolutely.

And yes, they WILL herd.

Btw, I am by no means an experienced player, like, AT ALL, and I AM doing it wrong (most likely). I'm going off several resources I've found here and there to put this breeding program together, starting mostly from store-bought G1s and keeping the line as closed as I reasonably can from there, since the breed is so scarce anyway.
